Meanwhile, the atmosphere at the Abraham Ordia Mini Stadium venue of the event was that of fanfare and Jubilation as freshers were seen with family members, friends and well wishers gathering at different spot within the university environs celebrating. As expected old malabites and Malabresses were not left out in the welcome party as they wokeup as early as 4am to perform the usual ritual of baptizing their junior colleagues with water as a way of welcoming them into the Aluta Business. Also at the venue of the event fellowships, different Community/Village Associations (pkarakpo as fondly called), Clubs andother registered student bodies were available to fill the air with loads of melody to which freshmen and women danced.

Wishing them all a happy Matriculation and a "Reasonable Action throughout stay in the University of Calabar.
