With barely two days to the Governorship and  States House of Assembly election in the country, all is now set for the re-election of Hon. (Barr.) John Gaul Lebo as a member representing Abi State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly. According a statement credited to the reigning Aji Edele Beauty Queen (Miss Vodina Richard) by Nkami Charles of crossrivereye.com, the queen who is an undergraduate student of the Department of Linguistics and Communication Studies in the University of Calabar was quoted  as saying:
"I feel compelled to identify with Hon. John Gaul because of his early discovery of my potentials as an Agbo culture ambassador realised through which platform I emerged as Miss Aji Edele.”
“As we know, politics is not complete until the people are well represented. Bar. John Gaul is a true representative of the people; one who has the people’s interest at heart; one who fights in defence for the people against external factors, encroachment and oppression.”
“Speaking as an individual and also a member of the Agbo Community, John Gaul Lebo has been an advocate of peace and thus his contributions to community development issues and his well developed relationship with every member of the community is the more reason he deserves a second term in office to enable him complete the good works he started.”
The beauty queen who also doubles as the Secretary General of Adadama Students' Union -World Wide (ASU-WW) a body that oversees the affairs of students from the Adadama community at home and in diaspora, is galvanizing support from her fellow comrades around the ten wards of Abi L. G. A. to ensure success in the polls.
Also, according to reliable sources the Abi Local Government Area Students Association -World wide (ALGASA-WW) and Adadama Students' Union -World Wide (ASU-WW) whom are direct beneficiaries of many laudable programs of Hon. John Gaul Representation in areas of scholarships, empowerment and sponsorship in entrepreneurship training for students and youths at the South-South enterprise academy Calabar, have also been spotted at various places having meetings in a bid to rally support for the Pragmatic leader  whose campaign slogan "MARGIN OF HOPE" seems to be focused on Youth empowerment.

However, the political atmosphere in Abi L.G.A like in every other part of Nigeria is getting more tensed as members from the opposition parties are not leaving any stone unturned in gathering supports from the Abi community to ensure victory come Saturday April 11th, 2015.

But in spite of the growing opposition from the Labour Party (LP) and All Progressive Congress (APC), the People's Democratic Party (PDP)  flag bearer seems to be in pole position to retain his seat in the state hallow chamber come May 29th, this is due largely to the unrelenting support he enjoys from the Abi political elites, women and youths.

As the electorates prepare to exercise their civic responsibility come Saturday lets hope that the winner will reflect the yearnings of the masses.
